Pithoragarh: On Sunday, a remarkable sight of public support and enthusiasm was witnessed upon the arrival of Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami in Pithoragarh. A large number of local citizens, elders, Matrishakti, and youth gathered to welcome the Chief Minister. People showed special enthusiasm to catch a glimpse of the Chief Minister and felicitate him. Deeply touched by the heartfelt receptions at various places and the immense affection of the public, the Chief Minister looked overwhelmed.
The enthusiasm of the youth, in particular, was palpable towards Chief Minister Dhami. A large gathering of young people welcomed the Chief Minister with immense energy and zeal. At the same time, Matrishakti and elders also showered their affection and blessings on the Chief Minister. Acknowledging the greetings of the public, the Chief Minister expressed his gratitude toward them. He stated that the immense love and blessings received from the people of Pithoragarh inspire him to work with renewed energy for the state’s development.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami listened to the 139th edition of respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s popular program ‘Mann Ki Baat’ along with the local public. Alongside this, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 67 development projects costing over ₹284 crores. He also made various announcements related to the development of the region and the expansion of public amenities.
The Chief Minister said that these development projects will strengthen infrastructure in Pithoragarh and surrounding areas, bringing positive changes to the lives of local citizens. The expansion of roads, connectivity, and other basic facilities will give a new impetus to the development of border regions.
Chief Minister Shri Dhami stated that under the visionary leadership and guidance of respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state government is continuously working for the holistic development of border districts. Today, road and air connectivity are expanding in Pithoragarh. New possibilities for tourism and adventure tourism are being developed, which will create new employment and self-employment opportunities for local youth.
The Chief Minister said that the state government’s goal is to deliver the benefits of development schemes to every citizen living in border areas. Through the expansion of better roads, education, health, tourism, and other essential facilities, border districts are being more strongly integrated into the mainstream of development.
Expressing gratitude to the people of Pithoragarh, Chief Minister Shri Dhami said that the trust, affection, and blessings of the public are his greatest strength. He affirmed that the state government will continue to work with absolute commitment for the comprehensive development and public welfare of the state.
