Bhopal: Students who have performed exceptionally well in class 12th in government higher secondary schools of Madhya Pradesh are about to receive a major gift. Under the “Chief Minister Scooty Scheme,” Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will distribute e-scooties to meritorious students from Bhopal on September 19. This will ease the path of higher education for the students and provide convenience in commuting to and from college. The state-level scooty distribution event will take place at the Government Subhash Excellence Higher Secondary School, Shivaji Nagar, Bhopal, starting at 10:00 AM.

The objective of the Chief Minister Scooty Scheme is to encourage school students to achieve academic milestones. To avail the benefits of the scheme, it is mandatory for students to secure 75% marks in their first attempt and rank first in their school in class 12th (Note: The Hindi text mentions 70% as the eligibility threshold). The benefit of this scheme, run by the state government, is provided to regular students studying in government higher secondary schools under the School Education and Tribal Affairs Departments. Students from all academic streams are included in the scheme.

A Significant Initiative by the State Government

Under the scheme, more than 7,500 eligible students across the state will receive e-scooties for the 2025-26 academic session. Through this initiative launched by the state government to encourage meritorious students, more than 23,000 eligible students have already benefited across the state. Approximately 246 crore rupees have been spent so far on running the scheme. The Chief Minister Scooty Scheme is a vital initiative by the state government aimed at rewarding the hard work and achievements of meritorious students while providing convenience for their further studies. Encouraging students studying in government schools to perform better boosts their enthusiasm for education and helps strengthen their participation in higher education.
