*Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami inspected hill treatment works on Srinagar-Devprayag National Highway while returning to Dehradun after Assembly session in Gairsain. During this, he took stock of progress of ongoing construction works on the spot and obtained detailed information from concerned engineers regarding current status of works, progress made so far and upcoming action plan.
During inspection, Chief Minister directly interacted with engineers and workers engaged in construction works and inquired about their well-being. He talked to employees working on the spot and took information regarding their works and understood various aspects of treatment works. Chief Minister talked affectionately with engineers and workers and appreciated their contribution.
During this, he also got photographs clicked with engineers and workers deployed at workplace.Chief Minister said that roads in state are main medium of movement as well as extremely important for tourism, local economy and connectivity of remote areas. In such a situation, it is necessary to ensure safety on National Highways and effectively complete necessary treatment works at sensitive places.
He directed officials and engineers associated with construction works to pay special attention to quality of works and technical standards and ensure progress as per prescribed action plan.Chief Minister said that success of any construction work is determined by its quality, timeliness and utility. Therefore, concerned departments and executing agencies should work with mutual coordination and ensure that treatment works are effective and durable.
Special vigilance should be exercised in works related to road safety and all necessary steps should be taken as per technical requirements.Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami underlined importance of their role in development works while obtaining information about their works through interaction with engineers and workers working on the spot.
He said that technical experts, engineers and workers have important contribution in strengthening infrastructure of state. Development projects are effectively implemented on ground only through their dedication, hard work and technical efficiency. Chief Minister reiterated government’s commitment to make road facilities safe, smooth and quality in state. He directed officials to regularly monitor road improvement and treatment works and complete works within stipulated time limit with quality, so that common people can get facility of safe movement.
