Bhopal/Dubai: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav reached the ‘AIM Congress-2026’ (Annual Investment Meeting) held at the Dubai World Trade Centre on September 7. His visit to Dubai will open new avenues for investment and employment in Madhya Pradesh, taking the state to new heights. During this summit, Dr. Yadav invited global investors to the upcoming Global Investors Summit (GIS)-2027 to be held in Bhopal. The AIM Congress is one of the world’s largest investment platforms, with around 20,000 delegates from over 180 countries participating. Here, governments, major investors, sovereign wealth funds, and global companies come together on a single platform to discuss investment opportunities.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav held direct meetings with major investors and companies. With investors from all over the world present in one place, this serves as a massive and highly effective opportunity for Madhya Pradesh. On the first day, he inaugurated an exhibition of Madhya Pradesh’s ODOP (One District One Product) and Geographical Indication (GI) products held at the Business Bay of Taj Dubai.
By inaugurating the exhibition, he showcased Madhya Pradesh’s rich handicrafts, handlooms, and traditional art heritage on an international platform. This exhibition features Betul’s bell metal craft, Ashoknagar’s Chanderi sarees, Khargone’s Maheshwari sarees, Ujjain’s Batik print, Bhopal’s Zari-Zardozi, and Gwalior carpets. These products represent the traditional skills, cultural diversity, and export potential of Madhya Pradesh. The state government aims to take these products to global markets, connect them with international buyers, and create new economic opportunities for local artisans.
Crucial Meeting with the President of the Arab Parliament
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav met with the President of the Arab Parliament, Mohammed Ahmad Al Yamahi. They discussed the possibilities of extensive cooperation between Arab countries and Madhya Pradesh in the fields of trade, investment, agriculture, tourism, and education. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav extended an invitation to Mohammed Ahmad Al Yamahi and his Arab business delegation to visit Madhya Pradesh and participate in the Global Investors Summit 2027.
CM Dr. Yadav Committed to Farmers’ Growth

Dubai imports more than 85% of its food requirements. In 2024, the UAE imported food worth approximately $16.2 billion, which is a 13.7% increase from 2023. With expatriates making up about 89% of its population—including a large number of Indians—there is a continuously growing demand for Indian grains, pulses, and processed food. Madhya Pradesh is well-positioned to fulfill this demand.
According to the Economic Survey 2025–26, Madhya Pradesh ranks first in the country in pulses, second in food grains (13.04% share), first in maize, and second in wheat (20.78% share). Known as the ‘Soya State’, it produces about 60% of the country’s soybeans. The meeting with Yusuff Ali M.A. of the Lulu Group during the event is a strategic step to turn these opportunities into real trade deals. Securing a reliable export market like Dubai will ensure better prices for the crops of Madhya Pradesh’s farmers while attracting investments in cold chains, grading, and food processing. Capturing even a small fraction of this massive market will directly benefit millions of farmers across the state.
