15th Uttarakhand State-Level Artistic Gymnastics Championship held, 150 players participated. Doon Gymnastics Academy, St. George’s College Mussoorie and Sherwood College Nainital win trophies. The 15th Uttarakhand State-Level Artistic Gymnastics Championship-2026 was organized on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at Maharana Pratap Sports College, Dehradun. The competition was organized by the Gymnastics Association of Uttarakhand under the aegis of the Gymnastics Federation of India. In the championship, the Girls’ category trophy was won by Doon Gymnastics Academy, the Boys’ category trophy by St. George’s College Mussoorie and the Overall Team Trophy by Sherwood College Nainital.
In individual performance, Samriddhi Sharma won 3 gold medals in the Sub-Junior category and Shanaya Sudhanshu won 3 gold medals in the Mini-2 category, achieving a remarkable feat.General Secretary of the Gymnastics Association, Shri Pramod Chaudhary, said that a total of 150 players in the boys and girls categories participated in the competition. Players from various schools and gymnastics academies of the state showcased their sporting talent and skills.Players from St. George’s College Mussoorie, Doon International School Dehradun, Oasis School, St. Joseph’s Academy Dehradun, Sun Valley School Dehradun, Patanjali Gurukulam School Haridwar, Mount Fort Academy, The Asian School, Hillgrange School, Convent of Jesus and Mary, Sherwood College Nainital and Doon Gymnastics Academy Dehradun participated in the competition. More girls than boys participated in the competition, with girls putting up a good performance.The main objective of the competition is to promote gymnastics in the state, provide a platform for young players to showcase their talent and increase interest among youth in sports. Such competitions provide players an opportunity to prove their mettle at the state level and prepare for higher-level competitions in the future.
